After starting his career at a large international consultant, Ahmad spent 8 years at a mid-size multidiscipline engineering firm working on a multitude of projects ranging in size and scope from small prototype adapt projects for restaurants and retail centers to $70M greenfield heavy-industrial facilities. During his time there, he managed small to medium-sized teams and executed approx. $100M in construction projects annually.
Since departing, Ahmad was the sole founding member of SLATE Design Group, a structural engineering consulting firm based in Nashville, TN. Licensed in 26 states, he currently serves as the Principal-in-Charge for the firm. At SLATE, Ahmad is primarily responsible for managing daily activities and operations, business development, design, detailing, and construction admin. for commercial and industrial projects.
